Job Summary

Safely apply prescribed analytical testing techniques to process and product materials. Critically analyze collected data and report through appropriate LIMS system. Maintain safe and tidy work environment in assigned lab space.

How You Can Be the Impact

(Job Responsibilities)

• Safe Handling of All Samples and Lab chemicals.
• Able to correctly apply various analytical techniques (HPLC, titrations, GC, etc) and associated data handling systems.
• Follow written procedures for all sample measurements.
• Follow sampling plan for all analysis.
• Critically analyze all data and trends ensuring accurate data entry and performance of instruments.
• Request new samples if data or sample quality is suspect.
• Communicate with Shift Leads/Operations if data trends are out of the norm after ensuring data is correctly obtained.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and repair as well as and calibrations at defined intervals.

What Matters to SABIC

• Bachelor’s in science or prior lab experience.

• Trained in safe sample handling and analysis.
• Trained in all analytical systems pertinent to the lab and their associated data handling systems.
• Proficient in applications such as excel & word.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in writing and verbally with diverse personnel from internal teams as well as external vendors.
• Must be organized, able to prioritize and multi-task.

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work a rotating shift schedule during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs
