Responsibilities
- Installation: Install new elevator, escalator, and moving walkway systems, including all necessary electrical wiring and control systems.
- Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance, such as lubricating parts, cleaning machinery, and performing safety tests.
- Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems, then perform repairs or replace defective parts.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and fix complex issues in systems like motors, brakes, and control panels.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all equipment meets local codes, building codes, and safety regulations through regular inspections.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of all inspections, maintenance performed, and repairs completed.
- Emergency Service: Respond to emergency calls and perform quick, efficient repairs to get systems back online.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a relevant apprenticeship, vocational training program, or equivalent experience.
- State certification and licensing may be required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces like elevator shafts and pits.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy components.
- Good communication skills for customer and team interactions.
Candidate min. 3-5 yrs. experience on same field. Required good knowledge, good communication skills.
