Responsibilities
- Installation: Install various fire safety systems, such as fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and pumps.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fire fighting equipment and systems.
- Inspection and Testing: Inspect, test, and commission fire safety systems to ensure they are in proper working order. This includes systems like hose reels, FM200, and pre-action systems.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and repair faults in fire fighting networks and systems.
- System Upgrades: Implement necessary changes to fire safety systems based on new regulations or assessments.
Skills and qualifications
- Knowledgeable about Smoke Management System (Ventilation System)
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with a wide range of fire fighting systems, including sprinklers, alarms, pumps, ventilation and detectors.
- Mechanical and Electrical Skills: A mechanical background is often required, along with the ability to work with piping, valves, and electrical components.
- Regulations: Stay updated on and adhere to fire safety standards and regulations.
- Other skills: Ability to read technical drawings and follow safety procedures is essential.
