About the Role
Our client seeks an experienced Technician – Maintenance, Cotton Ginning Mill (Expat) professional to join their team in the Northern Region of Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive mechanical and electrical maintenance of ginning machines, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing downtime. This role requires a hands-on expert who can manage all aspects of machine upkeep, from routine monitoring to emergency repairs.

Key Responsibilities
1) Monitor the entire ginning process, from seed cotton feeding to bale formation.
2) Manage all mechanical maintenance of the ginning machinery.
3) Supervise the electrical maintenance of machines, including generators and compressors.
4) Oversee all repair and breakdown issues, maintaining a detailed log of all maintenance activities.
5) Manage the annual mechanical and electrical maintenance for all production and utility machines.
6) Prepare and maintain a list of all imported items required for annual maintenance.
7) Track and document all technical items sent out for external repairs or modifications.
8) Issue required items from the stores for operations and manage all spare parts and consumables.
9) Conduct regular monthly inventory counts and ensure timely requisitions to prevent stockouts.

Requirements
1) ITI in Mechanical Engineering from a government-approved institute in India OR 12th-pass qualification.
2) A minimum of 10 years of experience in a cotton ginning factory.
3) At least 5 to 6 years of independent and direct hands-on ginning machine maintenance experience.
4) Must reside in Nigeria or willing to relocate.
