Qualifications & Experience:

· ITI – Fitter / Mechanical or Equivalent.

· 5+ years mechanical maintenance experience.

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial mechanical breakdown handling.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical Breakdown Attending (Primary Role):

• Responsible for attending all mechanical breakdown complaints across the unit.

• Quick diagnosis of mechanical failures and restoration of equipment with minimum downtime.

• Ensure proper root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action communication.

2. Preventive Maintenance (PM):

• Carry out routine preventive maintenance activities as per PM calendar.

• Support in lubrication, alignment, tightening, adjustments, mechanical inspections, etc.

• Ensure PM completion tracking and update PM sheets regularly.

3. Mechanical Fabrication Works:

· Perform fabrication tasks such as MS structure works, pipeline supports, tray modifications, repairs, etc.

· Should have basic welding knowledge (not primary role).

4. Support in Engineering Projects:

· Assist in all mechanical project works including installation, commissioning, and modifications.

5. Machine Overhauling & Assembly:

· Support dismantling, repairing, and reassembling of mechanical equipment (gearbox, pumps, pulverize, grinder, presses, dryers, conveyors, etc.).

· Hand-tool usage, alignment, and critical fitment understanding.

6. Documentation & Tracker Updates:

· Update breakdown tracker, PM sheets, project progress tracker.

· Support spare consumption recording and job card closing.

7. Coordination & Communication:

· Coordinate with Production, QC, Stores, and external vendors for smooth maintenance activities.

· Communicate breakdown status and project progress to Manager Engineering.

Required Skills:

· Strong knowledge in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.

· Hands-on experience in pumps, gearboxes, dryers, grinders, presses, conveyors, mechanical drives.

· Ability to read/understand basic mechanical drawings.

· Knowledge of fabrication, alignment, and safety practices.

· Ability to maintain breakdown/downtime tracker.

General Skills:

· Knowledge of Excel & Word (basic).

· Ability to work independently on mechanical issues.

· Willing to participate and support project activities.

· Decision-making ability in his area of expertise.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
