Design and Estimation Engineer - Foam and Gas (OPEN)

General Summary of Position

Responsible for estimate the value of project being tendered and design accordingly as per the client requirement.
Prepares cost estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• To do design of gas suppression system.

• Attending FRQ from customer and preparing an suitable commercial offer

• Understanding of pump curves-NFPA-20.

• Preparation of drawings & doing flow calculations .

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

• Identifies man hour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents

• Scrutiny of tender/design documents

• Evaluating tender documents, drawings, & schedules

• Comparison Studies based on suppliers Quotations, designs

• Based on Clients budget constraints for any specific project, carrying out Value engineering studies

• Making Pre-Qualification documents, both standards as well project specific questionnaires

• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.

• Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

• Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.

• Design and running flow calculation

• Prepare BOQ with CRM number as per the requirement of enquiry

• Filling specification sheet and arrange technical submittals.

• Compliance statement

• Design and configure of BOQ based on the customer requirements/ drawings.

• Processing orders and deliveries

• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Produce draft designs and diagrams according to the given specifications.

• Prepare drawings and diagrams for electrical devices and installations.

• Collaborate with designers, constructors and engineers on projects.

• Calculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precision.

• Compile data and specifications sheets.

• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:Engineering Graduate
• Work Experience:3-5 years in the same field
• Industry:Firefighting
• Key Skill:Understanding the customer RFQ, Understanding of SFFECO products, knowledge of design of systems, NFPA codes & AutoCAD
• Demonstrates great interpersonal skills. Oral and written communication (English)
• Should have fine knowledge and experience in MS Office (mainly excel) and CAD Software’s
• Should have multi-tasking skills at the work, team player and excellent time management skills
