Summary of Position:
The Technology Services Coordinator is based in San Francisco and serves as the on-site point of contact for all technology-related needs, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for JKZ personnel. This role works closely with the firm's managed service provider (MSP) to coordinate system support, troubleshoot day-to-day issues, and maintain technology standards and compliance across the firm's offices in San Francisco, San Diego and Santa Cruz. The Technology Services Coordinator will assist with onboarding, offboarding, device setup, software updates, and firmwide technology projects under the direction of the Executive Director and MSP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
1. IT Support & End-User Services
- Provide first-level technical support to attorneys and staff, including hardware, software, printing, and connectivity issues.
- Support conference room and audiovisual (AV) technology, ensuring equipment functions properly for meetings and client calls.
- Maintain clear communication with internal staff to ensure timely resolution of IT matters.
2. Onboarding, Offboarding & User Access
- Facilitate new-hire IT onboarding, including workstation setup, account creation, and software configuration.
- Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, ensuring secure and efficient handling of accounts, devices, and data.
3. Systems, Infrastructure & Vendor Coordination
- Serve as the on-site liaison between JKZ LLP and MSP, coordinating IT tickets, follow-ups, and project implementation.
- Partner with MSP to monitor network and server health, identifying and escalating performance or access issues.
- Maintain clear communication between internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure effective IT support and project delivery.
4. Equipment, Software & Asset Management
- Manage and maintain all IT equipment and participate in evaluating and implementing equipment upgrades.
- Assist with software installations, updates, and license tracking across firm systems, ensuring proper testing prior to firmwide deployment.
- Maintain documentation of IT assets, authorized passwords, and system configurations in coordination with MSP.
5. Security, Compliance & Firmwide Technology Initiatives
- Assist with system audits and compliance requirements, including security protocols, multi-factor authentication (MFA), encryption, and backup procedures.
- Support firmwide rollouts of new software, system updates, and technology process changes.
- Collaborate with JKZ management and staff to assess technology needs and propose, implement, and improve technology solutions.
The Technology Services Coordinator will have other tasks as assigned.

2. Physical Demands
- Regular use of computers, keyboards, monitors, mobile devices, and other office equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods, with frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and crouching as needed.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to install, connect, and troubleshoot IT hardware and cabling.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move IT equipment such as laptops, monitors, printers, and peripherals, generally weighing up to approximately 25–40 pounds.
- Ability to access workstations, under-desk cabling, and server or network equipment as required.
- Occasional travel between firm offices or to vendor locations.
- Ability to work occasional extended or flexible hours to support system upgrades, maintenance, or urgent technology needs.
3. Education and Experience
- Associate degree or technical certification in Information Technology preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
- Law firm or professional services experience a plus.
- Experience working with managed service providers preferred.
4. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and customer-service orientation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and common business applications.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data responsibly.
- Positive, professional demeanor and willingness to assist others.
