TEKLA DETAILER

Job Purpose:

To produce accurate and detailed 3D models, shop drawings, and fabrication details for steel structures using Tekla Structures software, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare 3D models of structural steel components, assemblies, and connections using Tekla Structures.
• Review design drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate detailing.
• Ensure all detailing work complies with relevant standards, codes, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to resolve design and detailing issues.
• Revise and update models/drawings based on client or consultant feedback and site requirements.
• Prepare material lists, bolt lists, cutting lists, and reports for procurement and production.
• Identify potential clashes, errors, or discrepancies in drawings and propose solutions.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure timely delivery of drawings and models.
• Support the fabrication and erection teams with technical clarifications.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 Year experience as a Tekla Detailer in a steel structure company.
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures (modeling, drawing, and report generation).
• Knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Familiarity with international steel detailing codes and standards (AISC, BS, EN, etc.).
• Knowledge of Nesting software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver within deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
