Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Tekla Expert Draughtsman – Steel Structures with proven UAE experience to develop accurate and detailed structural steel models and shop drawings using Tekla Structures. The role will focus primarily on steel fabrication and erection projects, requiring strong coordination with engineering, fabrication, and site teams.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D Tekla models for structural steel projects, including beams, columns, bracings, connections, and secondary steel.
• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, GA drawings, and material take-offs for steel structures.
• Model and detail bolted and welded connections in accordance with approved design standards and project specifications.
• Ensure drawings comply with UAE construction codes, project specifications, and fabrication standards.
• Coordinate closely with structural engineers, project managers, fabrication workshops, and erection teams to resolve design and constructability issues.
• Update Tekla models and drawings based on RFIs, design changes, and site conditions.
• Support fabrication and erection sequencing, including CNC data extraction and material reports.
• Maintain proper revision control and document management for all issued drawings.
• Participate in site and workshop coordination meetings when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on UAE experience using Tekla Structures for steel structure projects (mandatory).
• Strong experience in structural steel detailing and modeling for commercial, industrial, or high-rise projects.
• Solid understanding of steel fabrication processes, erection methodologies, and tolerances.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings, specifications, and connection design details accurately.

Technical Skills

• Tekla Structures – Expert level (mandatory)
• AutoCAD (for coordination and reference)
• Knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection
• Experience with CNC data export, bolt/weld detailing, and material take-offs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
