Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tekla Modeler to join our engineering team at Space Structure Engineering Consultancy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate 3D models and detailed drawings for steel structures using Tekla Structures, while maintaining excellent coordination and communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and develop 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.
• Prepare shop drawings, GA drawings, assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Coordinate with the design team, engineering team, project managers, and site team to ensure accuracy in modeling.
• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and fabrication teams to clarify technical requirements.
• Review and modify models/drawings based on feedback or design changes.
• Ensure all drawings comply with fabrication standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation of models, revisions, and drawing submissions.
• Identify and resolve clashes, errors, and discrepancies in the model.
• Provide support during project meetings and update progress regularly.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Tekla Modeler in steel structures.
• Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures software.
• Good understanding of structural steel detailing standards and practices.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills (this is a priority).
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pre-engineered buildings (PEB) or structural steel fabrication.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting tools.
