We are seeking a qualified and experienced Tele-Control / SCADA Engineer / Technician to join our team for Substation Automation and SCADA projects in coordination with Kahramaa.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or Substation Automation Engineering from a reputed university
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in Electrical Power System Substation Automation & Commissioning
• Strong knowledge of international standards and Kahramaa standards & practices
• Hands-on experience in Tele-control / SCADA systems, installation & commissioning
• Experience with SCS systems from Siemens, Alstom, Areva, Schneider Electric, or ABB
• Thorough knowledge of Substation Control System (SCS) technologies and communication protocols
• Experience in SCS/RTU/SCADA erection, testing, and commissioning
• Experience in verification of RTU/SCS/SCADA drawings with approved design documents
• Good experience in O&M, project execution, and commissioning
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in English (Arabic knowledge is an advantage)
• Computer literate with good presentation skills
• Available for emergency mobile communication (inside/outside office hours)
• Must pass authorization interview and qualify as an Authorized Person

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect substations and telecom systems prior to commissioning and identify non-compliance with Kahramaa specifications
• Ensure all major defects are rectified before commissioning
• Witness major pre-commissioning activities (FAT, SAT, erection, testing, energization)
• Prepare commissioning programs and issue safety documentation
• Review and approve drawings, schematics, test reports, method statements, and spare parts
• Verify and confirm NOSP submissions meet Kahramaa requirements
• Upload substation data into appropriate network systems
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants on SCS / RTU / SCADA system issues
• Monitor energized substations and oversee defect clearance until TOC & FAC issuance
• Perform testing of contractual SCS / RTU spares
• Handle commissioning of SCADA Control Centers, RTUs, Servers, Communication Gateways, and HMIs
• Provide status reports and technical clearances (TOC/FCC)
• Support design, development, implementation, and commissioning of substation automation systems
• Ensure reliability and functionality of all telecom systems
