Role - Tele-Counsellor
Job Overview
The Tele-Counsellor is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing calls, guiding students about courses, addressing queries, and converting leads into admissions. The role requires excellent communication skills, product knowledge, patience, and a student-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities1. Student Counselling & Lead Management
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to counsel students and parents regarding courses, batches, and admission process.
- Understand student requirements and guide them with appropriate course options.
- Maintain a high conversion ratio through effective follow-ups.
- Ensure timely response to all student enquiries via call, WhatsApp, and email.
2. Admission Support
- Provide complete information about course features, fees, faculty, study material, demo classes, and center facilities.
- Assist students throughout the admission process, including registration, payment, and documentation.
3. Record Keeping & CRM Management
- Update student enquiries, call status, and follow-up details accurately in CRM/Excel.
- Maintain proper tracking of leads until closure.
- Prepare daily/weekly call and conversion reports.
4. Communication & Etiquette
- Maintain a polite, professional, and helpful tone throughout all interactions.
- Listen actively and address concerns patiently.
- Follow calling scripts, communication guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
5. Coordination
- Coordinate with the Front Desk, Marketing, Accounts, and Academic teams regarding student queries.
- Inform students about class schedules, faculty sessions, counseling events, and webinars.
- Share feedback from students with the concerned team to improve processes.
6. Targets & Performance
- Meet daily call targets, follow-up targets.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and quality of service.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Excellent verbal communication (Hindi & English).
- Strong convincing and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle pressure and work towards targets.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, CRM usage).
- Patience, empathy, and a student-first approach.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: Graduate in any discipline (Preferred: Education, Management, or Humanities).
- Experience: 1–4 years in tele-counselling, education counseling.
