Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload:
Technical Purchasing

Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers

Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for technical equipment, custom engineered products, systems, software, or components

Maintains understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends, and supplier technology roadmaps

Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for policy compliance

Discusses defects and delivery issues with suppliers and negotiates refunds

Required Skills/Attributes:

7+ years in supply chain, procurement, and/or contract management
-
Experience in procurement and RFX for private telecommunications systems (design, engineering, installation, support)

Preferred experience in wireless/cellular networks (internal systems vs. public services like Telecommunication/Telecommunication)

Experience with private telecommunications networks (self-built vs. leased)
-
If no Bachelor's degree, minimum of 10 years relevant work experience
