Job Summary
We are seeking a Security Operations Engineer with at least three years of experience to join our core infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, management, and hardening of critical telecom interfaces. You will ensure the integrity of our signaling and data planes while responding to emerging threats in a 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform real-time analysis of security logs across GI, GP, and SEC-GW interfaces.

Manage and troubleshoot high-performance firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Juniper)

Lead the containment and remediation of security incidents affecting core network elements.

Draft and implement firewall rules and security policies that align with GSMA FS.31 and 3GPP standards.

Coordinate with vendor support (e.g., F5, Palo Alto …etc.) for patching and software lifecycle management

Ability to manage issues and provide Level 2 support for network security issues.

Provide periodic reports to team leader regarding network issues, security incidents and team performance.

Participate in security configuration reviews and baseline compliance checks for new or modified systems.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications engineering / computer science, IT, or equivalent.
Experience:
• 3-4 years of relevant experience.

Strong understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF & BGP and IPsec.

Strong troubleshooting skills.

Good Understanding of mobile core and IMS architecture (EPC, 5GC, SECGW).

Proficiency in analyzing traffic for protocols such as GTP, Diameter, SCTP, and HTTP/2.

Hands-on experience with IPsec VPNs, and Load Balancers (F5 BIG-IP/AFM).

Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
Certifications

CCNA or JNCIA or COMPTIA + (recommended)

CCNP Security / JNCIS /JNCIP / NSE 4 or higher (Preferred).
