TELECOM TECHNICIAN

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Telecom Technician with experience in industrial telecom and low-voltage systems to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecom and security systems in industrial facilities, preferably in the oil & gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

Install, test, commission, and maintain PAGA (Public Address & General Alarm) systems.

Install and maintain CCTV Surveillance Systems.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot Access Control Systems.

Perform UTP cable laying, termination, labeling, and testing.

Trace cables according to engineering drawings and diagrams.

Conduct continuity testing for low-voltage circuits.

Troubleshoot telecom system faults and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.

Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.

Ensure all work complies with company HSE policies and quality standards.

Prepare maintenance reports and complete assigned work orders.

Requirements

Diploma or ITI in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in telecom or low-voltage systems.

Hands-on experience with PAGA, CCTV, Access Control Systems, UTP Cabling, and Cable Termination.

Ability to read engineering drawings and cable routing diagrams.

Experience in oil & gas, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.

Good troubleshooting and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with industrial telecom systems.

Knowledge of fiber optic cabling and testing is an advantage.
