Telecommunications Technology Auditor Ref 196412

We are supporting a leading organisation in Saudi Arabia in the appointment of an Internal Telecom Technology Auditor to provide independent, risk-based assurance across telecom technology platforms, mobility services, and operational processes.

The role will focus on evaluating the availability, integrity, security, and resilience of telecom environments, ensuring compliance with internal policies, local regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document risk-based internal audits across telecom technology environments, including core networks, mobility services, and signalling systems
• Apply audit methodologies across all phases, including risk assessment, control testing, sampling, and evidence evaluation
• Conduct audits of mobile network environments, including core, RAN, and subscriber/data platforms
• Assess the design and effectiveness of technology controls, including access, configuration, change, redundancy, failover, and capacity management
• Review telecom network architecture and topology from a risk and control perspective
• Identify and assess technology, operational, and cybersecurity risks impacting telecom services
• Evaluate compliance with internal policies, CST regulatory requirements, and industry standards
• Prepare structured audit reports with clear findings, root causes, and recommendations
• Present findings to stakeholders and track remediation through to closure

Required Experience & Skills

• 6-10+ years' experience in internal audit, IT audit, or telecom audit within enterprise or telecom environments
• Proven experience auditing telecom network infrastructure and mobility environments
• Strong understanding of audit principles, including planning, control evaluation, testing techniques, and reporting
• Hands-on experience with telecom systems such as HLR, VLR, HSS, MSC, SGSN, GGSN, PCRF, IN, billing mediation, and SS7 / Diameter
• Solid understanding of mobile network architecture, including core, RAN, and subscriber/data platforms
• Strong knowledge of telecom network architecture across core, access, transmission, and service layers
• Experience assessing technology controls and risk frameworks within telecom environments
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and operational resilience
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear audit findings and recommendations

Regulatory & Compliance Requirements

• Strong understanding of Saudi telecom regulations, including those issued by the Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST)
• Familiarity with CST frameworks, licensing conditions, and compliance obligations
• Understanding of data protection and privacy regulations in KSA
• Awareness of cybersecurity regulatory expectations applicable to telecom operators
• Experience auditing against local regulatory compliance requirements in Saudi Arabia

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CRISC
• Experience within a telecom operator or service provider in KSA or GCC
• Familiarity with international standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or GSMA framework
