Telemetry Registered Nurse - Alabaster, Alabama

This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients with conditions such as pneumonia and sepsis, utilizing critical skills in telemetry monitoring and patient assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to individuals with cardiac and respiratory conditions in a 30-bed facility.
• Administer breathing treatments, manage chest tubes, and provide CPAP/BiPAP and tracheostomy care.
• Utilize Epic charting software to maintain accurate and timely patient records.
• Collaborate within a float pool, adapting nursing skills across similar units as needed.
• Support a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 to ensure quality care.
• Work a 12-hour shift from 12 PM, totaling 36 hours per week, including every other weekend rotations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with Telemetry nursing expertise.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with respiratory care and chest tube management.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records.
• Ability to float between units with similar patient care acuity.
