Telemetry Registered Nurse | Birmingham, Alabama

A registered nurse with experience in Telemetry nursing is needed to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. This role involves managing patients recovering from procedures such as joint replacements, ensuring close monitoring through telemetry systems, and coordinating care within a moderate patient load. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and care for telemetry patients, utilizing cardiac monitoring equipment effectively
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Accurately document patient information using the Epic electronic health record system
• Provide patient education and support to promote recovery and wellness
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following protocols and best practices
• Float as needed within similar units to support patient care demands
  
  

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Current and valid RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with telemetry nursing and cardiac monitoring
• Proficiency in Epic charting system
• Ability to manage a nurse-patient ratio of up to 1:6
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  
  

Schedule And Work Hours

• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend shifts every other weekend
• Float shifts based on staffing needs
