Overview
The Telephone Reception Sales Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for incoming calls, while also driving sales through effective communication and product knowledge. This role combines receptionist duties with sales responsibilities, ensuring callers receive prompt, friendly assistance and are guided toward purchasing decisions or appropriate services.
Responsibilities
- Engage with potential clients through outbound calling campaigns, warm calling, and telemarketing efforts to generate new business opportunities.
- Conduct professional B2B sales conversations, clearly articulating product benefits and technical features tailored to client needs.
- Negotiate terms and close sales by understanding customer requirements, overcoming objections, and presenting compelling solutions.
- Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track leads, update customer information, and manage sales pipelines efficiently.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to follow up on inbound inquiries and nurture leads through targeted outreach strategies.
- Maintain high levels of customer service by providing prompt, courteous assistance and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Support business development initiatives by identifying new market opportunities and expanding existing accounts through strategic outreach.
- Document all interactions accurately within CRM systems, ensuring data integrity for ongoing analysis and reporting.
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-making positively.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, inside sales, or telemarketing roles within technology or related industries.
- Familiarity with technology sales processes and technical product features.
- Proficiency in CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for managing customer relationships.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
