Full-Time Teller

The Teller provides friendly, accurate, and efficient member service at the teller line. This role processes member transactions, supports account services, helps maintain branch operational standards, and follows all security and compliance procedures.

Primary Duties

· Build relationships and enhance member experience, respond to member requests in a friendly, helpful, and positive manner

· Process transactions in a prompt, efficient, confidential, and accurate manner

· Receives members’ payments, share deposits, cash checks, issues withdrawals (cash or check), etc. Process cash advances on Visa and MasterCard. Issuance and processing of money orders and official checks. Properly completes all necessary paperwork involving these transactions.

· Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all related policies and procedures, rules, and regulations. Protect member information and maintain confidentiality.

· Balance cash drawer and prepare required reports. Research and resolve discrepancies.

· Promote services and products in a compliant, member-first manner.

Miscellaneous

· Answers telephone, transfers calls to appropriate personnel, and answers inquiries concerning the credit union.

· Must be flexible with coverage at other branch locations

· Performs miscellaneous clerical duties in the credit union, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED

· Experience in customer service (banking/credit union experience a plus)

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Professional communication skills and a friendly service-oriented attitude.

Required Qualifications

· Ability to lift bags of coin weighing up to 50 pounds

· Ability to stand for extended periods
