Job Title: Telugu Language & Literature Teacher (Primary/Secondary)Role Overview
We are looking for an inspiring Telugu Teacher who is passionate about the "Italian of the East." The ideal candidate will move beyond rote memorization to instill a genuine love for the Telugu language. You will be responsible for developing students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, ensuring they achieve academic excellence while appreciating the rich cultural heritage of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Teach Telugu as a Second/Third language in alignment with the CBSE/State Board or International framework.
- Literary Appreciation: Introduce students to Telugu poetry (Padyalu), classical literature, and contemporary prose.
- Creative Pedagogy: Use storytelling, role-play, and multimedia tools to make the language "come alive" for modern learners.
- Linguistic Foundation: Focus on correct pronunciation (Ucharana), grammar (Vyakaranam), and beautiful handwriting.
- Cultural Leadership: Lead the planning and execution of Telugu-centric events like Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam, Ugadi celebrations, and local folk art showcases.
- Assessment: Design creative assessments that evaluate functional fluency rather than just textbook recall.
Candidate Profile
- Education: B.A./M.A. in Telugu Literature and a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience teaching Telugu in a reputed school environment (preferably International or Private schools).
- Language Proficiency: Native-level fluency in Telugu and professional proficiency in English (to communicate effectively with parents and staff).
- Digital Savvy: Ability to use digital tools (Smart Boards, Telugu typing) to enhance classroom learning.
