TEMPORARY CASE MANAGER/RESOURCE INTEGRATION COACH

APPOINTMENT LENGTH:

Temporary part time unbenefited position, until June

HOURLY WAGE: $18-20 Hourly WEEKLY HOURS: 25-29 Hours weekly

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Primary role is to assist low income TANF eligible households improve their earned income. This is accomplished through stabilization (resource and referral), access to job resources to improve earning prospects, and case management.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Works under general supervision of the Director of Human Services.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

None

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

• Meet with low-income households to determine TANF eligibility, identify needs and create a case plan.
• Solicit and receive referrals from BRAG programs and community partners.
• Help program participants by:
• Triaging needs and providing referrals.
• Assisting clients in completing applications for resources to stabilize the household.
• Explore potential employment interests.
• Apply for and access employment resources.
• Create and expand the network of job training and employment opportunities.
• Self-schedule appointments and follow up meetings.
• Assist in orienting new employees under the direction of a supervisor.
• Assist with program reporting, data entry, and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Development, or related field

OR

B. High School Diploma (Or GED) AND Two years general business, accounting, payroll or similar training working experience in a position requiring attention to detail, and organizational skills.

OR

C. Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail, a must.
• Knowledge of BRAG program guidelines and operations (training available).
• The ability to research and understand program applications from many different community partners.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must be confident, self-motivated, and a professional team player.
• Ability to develop partnerships with persons from a wide variety of backgrounds.
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
