Position Summary

A Dinnerware Production Generalist at Heath is an important production role; daily production work includes forming on a RAM press, an SKK plate roller, an SKK bowl roller, or a mug machine. This role will also include kiln firing and assisting with water waste management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong attention to detail while working at a rapid production pace
• Consistently work toward and meet daily production goals
• Accurately follow instructions for assembly, quality control (QC), and procedures
• Collaborate effectively with team members
• Assist in other areas of production as needed

Qualifications and Experience

• Desire to work in a plant environment and to be “hands on”
• Excellent people skills: must be patient, flexible, and calm
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Proficiency with basic Mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
• Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Demonstrated ability to be reliable and punctual
• Willingness to be flexible and accept instruction from team members

Physical Requirements (Medium to Heavy)

• The ability to transport clay, finished goods, and other production materials (up to 35 lbs. at a time). The total weight lifted per day can be 3500 to 5000 lbs.
• Other activities, including climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, repetitive motion, grasping, and feeling.

Work Environment/ Hours / Compensation

This position is a temporary, 3-month assignment. The position is a full-time, non-exempt, on-site role at our Sausalito Factory & Showroom. The hours for this position are 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The rate for this position is $25.00/hr.
