Temporary General Laborer / Maintenance Helper

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable, and attentive Temporary General Laborers / Helpers to assist our Lead Maintenance Technician with property turnover work and exterior/interior prep on a job site in Longmeadow MA.

No prior skilled trade experience is required. We are looking for individuals who can show up on time, take direction well, work safely, and help us complete scraping, painting, cleaning, and material handling tasks quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Scraping & Prep Work: Scrape peeling paint, light hand-sanding, mask off trim, and clean surfaces to prep for painting.
• Painting & Touch-Ups: Roll interior walls, prime exterior surfaces, and assist with paint cleanup.
• Site Cleanup & Trash-Outs: Sweep floors, haul away renovation debris/trash, and keep active work areas clean and safe.
• General Assisting: Help carry materials, hold equipment, load/unload vehicles, and support the Lead Technician on daily tasks.
• Instruction Following: Carefully execute step-by-step instructions provided by the Lead Tech.

Safety & Work Conditions

• Ground & Low-Level Focus: Most work is ground-level or using small 2-3 step ladders. High-ladder work is reserved for certified lead staff.
• Safety Gear: Safety masks are provided and required for certain tasks.

Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs unassisted (and 100+ lbs with team assistance or equipment), climb stairs, bend, kneel, and perform manual labor throughout the workday.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
