Position Overview:

  • Tender Identification and Evaluation: Identifying and evaluating pharmaceutical tender opportunities across the UAE and potentially other GCC markets. ( MOH/ SEHA/DHA/ MOD/MOI etc).
  • Tender Preparation and Submission: Preparing, compiling, and submitting tender documents in compliance with requirements.
  • Opportunity Management: Identify, source, and qualify relevant pharmaceutical tender opportunities in government and private sectors, including public health insurers.
  • Bid Preparation: Manage end-to-end proposal development, coordinating cross-functional teams (Sales, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain) to gather data, write content, and create compliant submissions.
  • Strategy & Analysis: Develop winning bid strategies, analyse tender documents, assess risks, and conduct cost/price calculations.
  • Compliance & Submission: Ensure all bids meet strict regulatory standards, company policies, and client specifications, often involving electronic submission platforms.
  • Contract & Stakeholder Management: Negotiate terms, manage contract finalization, and maintain strong relationships with clients (e.g., Ministry of Health), wholesalers, and internal teams.
  • Internal Liaison: Collaborating with internal departments (regulatory, supply chain, finance) to gather necessary information. ( Ex factory price/ CIF/ Mode of transport/ Data logger required / Storage condition during transportation, Payment method, tender fees)
  • Tender Management: Ensuring timely submission, tracking progress, addressing clarifications and required number of samples etc
  • Relationship Building: Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and government authorities- tender committee/ end user/ technical Evalution team etc
  • Analysis and Improvement: Analysing tender outcomes and providing recommendations for future improvements.
  • Negotiation: Participating in tender and contract negotiation meetings with Suppliers
  • Communication: Communicating effectively with clients during the tendering process.
  • Data Management: Maintaining databases for pre-qualifications, tenders, and results.
  • Reporting: Preparing monthly managerial reports

  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate in Pharmacy or a related field, with an MBA in Marketing being a strong advantage.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical tendering, specifically within UAE and GCC markets.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Arabic is often an advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Power Point, and Word.
