Position: Tender Manager / Tender Executive

Department: Quantity Surveying/Contracts

Location: Chennai

Experience Level: Mid to Senior (4–10 years preferred)

Key Roles & Responsibilities (Standard)

Tendering & Bid Management

  • Identify relevant tenders from government and private portals.
  • Review tender documents, technical specifications, BOQs, and contract terms.
  • Coordinate with technical, finance, procurement, and project teams to compile tender submissions.
  • Prepare competitive commercial and technical proposals.
  • Ensure timely submission of bids as per tender requirements.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare all required tender documentation, prequalification (PQ) documents, and compliance statements.
  • Maintain updated vendor registrations and documentation with various clients/authorities.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and legal/contractual guidelines.

Cost Estimation & Analysis

  • Conduct market research and rate analysis for materials, labour, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare cost sheets, price comparisons, and risk assessments.

Liaison & Coordination

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and government authorities for tender clarifications.
  • Facilitate internal review meetings and track tender progress.

Post-Tender Activities

  • Support negotiation, contract finalization, and handover to execution teams.
  • Maintain records of submitted bids, tender outcomes, and competitor analysis.

Eligibility Criteria (Standard)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering;
  • MBA in Operations/Business Administration (preferred for managerial level).

Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years for Executive and 6–10 years for Manager position in tendering or contracts within the infrastructure/construction industry.

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of tender processes (government & private).
  • Excellent understanding of EPC/Infrastructure contract terms.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and tender portals.
  • Good analytical, negotiation, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines with strong attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
