Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Prepare complete technical and commercial proposals in compliance with client requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders with all required documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments for inputs related to estimation, design, and procurement.
- Perform detailed cost estimation including materials, manpower, equipment, and subcontracting.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Develop competitive pricing strategies while ensuring profitability.
- Identify and assess project risks and include necessary provisions.
- Liaise with clients for clarifications, technical discussions, and requirement understanding.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when required.
- Follow up on submitted tenders and proposals to secure project awards.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
4. Technical Evaluation
- Review technical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare technical submittals and coordinate design clarifications.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor technical proposals.
5. Contract Review & Negotiation
- Assist in reviewing contract terms and conditions.
- Support negotiation of commercial and technical aspects with clients.
- Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies.
6. Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities and upcoming tenders.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and pricing benchmarks.
- Support company growth through lead generation and market intelligence.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of tenders, proposals, and project data.
- Prepare periodic reports on tender status, and success rates.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all relevant information.
8. Project Handover
- Coordinate with project execution teams for smooth handover of awarded projects.
- Provide all necessary technical, commercial, and contractual details.
- Support project teams during the initial execution phase.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3-7 years of experience in tendering and sales (preferably in electrical contracting)
- Strong knowledge of estimation, contracts, and project execution
- Proficiency in MS Office and estimation software
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Team coordination and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions
- Office-based with occasional site visits and client meetings
- May require extended working hours during tender submissions
