Tennis Court Maintenance

Job Summary

Tennis Court Maintenance staff are responsible for the daily upkeep of tennis courts, surrounding areas, and equipment to ensure an excellent and enjoyable experience for members and guests.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain courts and grounds to uphold LHPYC's reputation as a premier yacht club tennis facility.
• Ensure the upkeep of court tapes, nets, poles, grounds, fences, and gates.
• Clean court drainage gutters and grounds.
• Install, remove, and repair the court windscreens.
• Water, roll, brush, and sweep lines on clay courts and blow debris and dust from hard court surfaces.
• Refill supplies for members and guests, such as ice, towels, and cups.
• Maintain court equipment, including tennis shoe cleaners, rollers, and line sweepers.
• Always act professionally around members and guests.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Effective communication skills and ability to follow management instructions.
• Ability to collaborate with fellow staff members.
• A solid work ethic.
• Prior experience maintaining tennis courts is desirable, and training will be provided.

Physical Demands

• Capable of walking or standing for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds.

Part-Time Shifts

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.

· Monday through Friday - 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM

· Saturday & Sunday Split Shifts - 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
