Job Overview
Notre Dame of Maryland University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Business, beginning August 2026. We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic about working closely with students, committed to high-quality teaching, and interested in contributing to a collaborative department that supports both undergraduate and graduate programs. The successful candidate will teach introductory, intermediate, and advanced business courses in support of the Business major, and will contribute to the Master of Arts in Leadership and Management program. Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach Marketing and Business Research Methods.
Job Description
Teaching Responsibilities
Courses may include, but are not limited to:
The standard teaching load is 4–3. Most instruction is face-to-face, with occasional online teaching. Familiarity with Canvas or comparable learning management systems is a plus.
Student Engagement and Service
Notre Dame of Maryland University values faculty who see teaching as both an instructional and mentoring endeavor. Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain an active scholarly agenda appropriate to a tenure-track position.
Following an initial period of service, the faculty member will be expected to assume department chair responsibilities after approximately three years, providing leadership in curriculum, assessment, and faculty collaboration.
