teradata and Informatica Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teradata Informatica Lead to oversee the design, development, optimization, and support of migrating EDW to Azure Data lake and Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in both Teradata and Informatica PowerCenter ETL processes, capable of leading a team of developers and collaborating directly with business stakeholders.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Architecture

• Very strong in SQL and able to develop SQL queries.
• Lead the end-to-end analysis and develop ETL solutions analyzing Informatica PowerCenter (Designer, Workflow Manager, Monitor, Repository Manager).
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the Teradata Data Warehouse environment.
• Define, enforce, and maintain data integration and ETL development standards, best practices, and code review processes.
• Utilize Teradata Utilities (e.g., FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, BTEQ) for efficient data loading and extraction.
• Develop and manage Unix Shell Scripts for automation, job scheduling, and orchestration of Informatica workflows.

Team & Project Management

• Mentor, guide, and provide technical direction to a team of Informatica and Teradata developers (both on-shore and off-shore).
• Work closely with Project Managers and Business Analysts to translate complex business requirements into detailed technical design documents (HLD/LLD).
• Manage project timelines, track deliverables, identify technical risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Lead the validation process, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency through rigorous unit testing and System Integration Testing (SIT).
• Support the deployment and transition of ETL processes into production, and provide escalated support for production incidents.

Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate with Data Modelers and Database Administrators to ensure the ETL architecture aligns with the logical and physical data models.
• Interface directly with key business stakeholders to understand data needs, resolve data discrepancies, and present technical solutions clearly.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, planning, retrospectives) to ensure iterative delivery of data solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of total IT experience with a strong focus on Data Warehousing and BI solutions.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Lead Developer or Technical Lead specifically with Teradata and Informatica PowerCenter.
• Deep expertise in Teradata: Proficiency in Teradata SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning (Explain Plans, statistics collection), and utility usage (TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad).
• Expertise in Informatica PowerCenter: Proven ability to design and implement complex mappings, transformations, sessions, and workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts (star schemas, snowflake schemas, dimensions, facts, slowly changing dimensions).
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting for job automation and scheduling.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with job scheduling tools like Control-M, Autosys, or Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid data warehouse implementations.
• Teradata Certified Professional or Informatica Certified Developer.
• Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and integrating them with Teradata.

Pay: ₹575,293.30 - ₹4,046,958.73 per year
