North Park Transportation in currently searching for a Terminal Manager for its Rock Springs, WY facility.

Pay Range: $1,700 - $1,750 annually DOE. Bonus eligible position.

The position averages 8-10 hours a shift, Monday through Friday. This facility is not open on weekends.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of progressive responsibility experience in facility or operations management experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • 2+ years general supervisory/management experience.
  • CDL A (HAZMAT endorsement preferred) as this position assists with deliveries.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in an office environment and with vendors, clients and employees as needed to perform essential duties and job functions.
  • This individual must be able to thrive in an ever-evolving work environment and make timely operating decisions based on those inputs to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-oriented service that meets or exceeds our expectations
  • Capable of working independently with minimal direction.
  • Strong attention to details, problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Function as Leader emulating the behaviors expected by the company of all employees.
  • Coordinate all activities related to the operations to ensure continuous improvement while reducing costs and to meet or exceed customer expectations for on-time delivery.
  • Drive for departmental results and identify potential problems to implement a corrective action plan.
  • Manage the facility’s hiring process by hiring the best-qualified applicants and by ensuring compliance with company and government regulations.
  • Facilitate education and training programs to motivate employees to improve performance and quality of work processes.
  • Conduct performance reviews. Focus on development and career planning for the service team.
  • Review and analyze expenditure, financial and operations reports to determine the requirement for increasing profits and improving processes. Prepare recommendations on findings for regional management evaluation. Prepare facility budget and monitor monthly variance.
  • Support sales efforts to achieve quota attainment by maintaining contact with the facility’s customer care team and by establishing relationships with customers.
