Summary

The Territory Manager will consistently provide a friendly, responsive customer experience from initial inquiry to order receipt to achieve our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable working with Outside Sales as a team to promote the Company’s services and products. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to generate sales utilizing proactive outbound contact (calls, email, video, visits) to assigned and prospective customers, generating interest, qualifying prospects, creating quotes, and closing sales. This position is paid a base salary + commissions for inside sales and is a path towards being an outside sales representative.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support outside sales representative(s) in a defined territory including:

  • Persuasively call leads and pursue new business opportunities from current and prospective customers.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and provide solutions to fulfill their needs.
  • Schedule and attend meetings (virtual and on-site) for and/or with outside sales representative(s).
  • Prepare prospect presentations.
  • Own administrative quoting work for outside sales representative(s) including: Finalizing design with Engineering, Contacting vendor for pricing, Building quotes in quote configurator software, Formatting quotes for customers, Revising quotes after meetings and set up another meeting.
  • Follow up on open quotes/opportunities until the prospective client gives a hard yes/no.
  • Submit confirmed orders to order entry team.
  • Work with Project Management from order submittal to system commissioning

Manage inside sales tasks within the same territory including:

  • Pursue New Business Opportunities from current and prospective customers for inside sales-related equipment (e.g., consumable products, packaged equipment).
  • Understand the customer needs and requirements and provide solutions to fulfill their needs. Continuously seek new customers.
  • Understand and competently share the breadth of product and service offerings.
  • Earn increased sales by developing and maintaining relationships with assigned accounts, identifying needs, and providing solutions.
  • Identify quote opportunities by working with Sales and close orders through the system in an expedited fashion.
  • Provide quotations and ask for purchase orders.
  • Ensure accurate customer contact data.
  • Process inside sales orders (i.e., order entry)

Additional general responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers always. Listen to customer complaints courteously. Professionally attempt to resolve the conflict in an acceptable manner to the customer and the Company. Inform management of the situation promptly.
  • Be able to work competently with company systems.
  • Attend and enthusiastically participate in sales meetings, training sessions and personal development.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree preferred, ideally in mechanical or technical engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of Inside Sales and/or Sales Support experience preferred
  • Passion to take care of the customer
  • Excellent verbal, written & analytical communication skills for outbound contact (calls, email, video, visits)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks & deadlines.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system experience desired
  • Knowledge of air moving equipment such as industrial fans and exhausters, pressure blowers and/or industrial filtration equipment preferred
  • Ability to problem solve with a sense of urgency.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data entry experience desired

Pay: $55,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
