Job Summary

The Territory Sales Manager drives sales growth and customer relationships throughout the designated territory. This role focuses on developing new accounts, strengthening existing partnerships, and providing technical expertise to meet the needs of municipal, agricultural, residential, and industrial customers. The Territory Sales Manager works independently in the field, collaborating closely with the sales management team to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales and profit goals through strategic account management and new business development.
  • Identify and pursue new customer opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with current accounts.
  • Deliver effective, technical sales presentations and provide product application support.
  • Coordinate and attend trade shows, regional events, and customer seminars to promote Simmons products and services.
  • Negotiate pricing and purchasing contracts in collaboration with management.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity, providing timely feedback and recommendations.
  • Provide on-site customer service including training, warranty assistance, and updates on new product offerings.
  • Ensure customers receive timely communication on product changes and technical updates.
  • Partner with the marketing team to ensure materials, catalogs, and online content meet customer expectations.
  • Share customer insights to guide product development and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide regular territory reports and sales forecasts to the sales management team.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments to address customer needs and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven outside sales experience in agriculture, irrigation, or a related industrial market preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and build lasting relationships.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
