Role: Test Engineer - Murex for Banking Project

Experience: 3+ years

Location: Riyadh (KSA)

Objective

  • Configure, support and enhance the Murex platform across front-to-back office functions including trading, risk and operations.
  • Manage Market data, trade lifecycle and pricing workflows ensuring accurate processing and system stability.
  • Collaborate with the PM, Dev, Business and IT Team to analyze requirements, implement solutions and optimize system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and analyze requirements for treasury and capital market products across:
  • FX, MM, IRD, EQD, Fixed Income
  • Derivatives (vanilla & exotic), structured products
  • Design and execute test scenarios, test cases, test data, and detailed test scripts.
  • Perform testing across Front Office, Risk, Back Office
  • Test functional processes across:
  • Murex Front Office (FO) – Trade booking, pricing
  • Murex Middle Office (MO) – Risk, limits, workflows
  • Murex Back Office (BO) – Settlements, confirmations, reconciliation
  • Datamart, MLC, MRA, Murex Integration Layer (MXL)
  • Validate trade lifecycle events (amend, cancel, expiry, novation).
  • Verify workflows, static data, market data setups, and configuration parameters.
  • Log and track defects using JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Work closely with BA, Developers, Environment teams, and Business users.

Essential Skills

  • Strong understanding of Treasury/Capital Markets products and trade lifecycle.
  • Functional knowledge of risk, pricing, P&L, collateral, and settlements.
  • Experience with Murex modules such as FO, BO, MO, Datamart, Workflows, Static Data.
