Summary

We are seeking an Engineering Test lab Technician/Mechanic to carry out the functional testing of our cutting-edge mechanical seals. The challenging position requires skills in mechanical and electrical assembly, calibration, problem solving, and machine operation. Computer skills such as Microsoft Excel worksheet manipulation and plotting are also needed. The work schedule is flexible but expected to be first shift.

Responsibilities:

• Test rig assembly, set up, calibration, operation and data collection
• Instrumentation and measurement of seal components.
• Data manipulation and report generation
• Assist in generation of test lab procedures

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-Year degree or additional technical school training preferred.

Experience:

• 3 Years’ experience as a mechanic or technician.

Skills:

• Good mechanical skills a must.
• Basic PC computer skills required including MS Excel and MS Word.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics preferred.
• General plumbing knowledge preferred.
• General electrical wiring knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of motors, drives, gear boxes, pumps and couplings preferred.
• Machining experience a plus.
• Organized, detail-oriented, able to work with minimal supervision once the task has been explained.
