Testing Lab Engineer

Job purpose

 Applying operating policies and general procedures in accordance with operational and quality requirements, using optimal equipment and inspection devices, and applying testing procedures in accordance with specified technical specifications

Main Duties and responsibilities

 Inspecting and testing samples according to specific technical specifications and quality system, using appropriate equipment and materials to meet customers' requirements.

 Carrying out the periodic maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment according to specified procedures.

 Ensuring that testing is carried out within the specified period.

 Preparing and recording examination results according to the system used in the laboratory.

 Ensuring the validity of calibration of the devices and equipment used in the test.

 Commitment to using new equipment and devices to achieve the ability to meet testing requirements.

 Maintaining laboratory facilities and equipment.

 Follow up with technicians under training or assistant technicians, to ensure that they carry out the required technical examination of samples.

 Responsible for completing all required data and reporting test results in accordance with quality management system policies and procedures.

 Implementing general maintenance procedures and internal organization of the laboratory.

 Conducting internal verification and rehabilitation of laboratory equipment.

 Following standard operating procedures and quality system requirements for routine tasks.

 Maintaining the cleanliness of the equipment used in the inspection, daily.

 Maintaining confidentiality of customer data and testing results.

 Maintaining technical, commercial, and industrial secrets, and generally, all occupational secrets related to work, whose disclosure would be detrimental to the interests of the work.

 Besides the above listed job duties and responsibilities special assignments must be carried out based on the instructions of the direct manager or department director. Those special assignments are usually time bound and connected to the above listed activities, or those assignments are a result of GCC company policy.

Education Level

 Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from a reputable university.

Skills and Abilities

 Basic & Advanced knowledge of product testing and manufacturing.

 Technical knowledge on SASO/GSO/ASTM/BS/ISO product testing codes.

 Basic knowledge of ISO/IEC17025.

 Bilingual (Arabic and English) for communication with English speaking clients and others.

Experience

 Minimum of 2 years’ technical experience in related product testing and manufacturing.

 Has previously worked in a multi-national environment and can communicate effectively with all levels of the company.

 In case hire fresh graduate doesn’t have experience is required, internal training should be applied for three months to cover technical tests required.
