We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Leader. The role is responsible for supporting the effective utilization and development of the testing team, contributing to the evolution of testing strategies and practices, and ensuring that testing capabilities remain aligned with business and delivery needs.
As a people manager and practice enabler, the Testing Section Head drives continuous improvement, promotes standardization, and encourages innovation across their area of responsibility. By contributing to a scalable, business-aligned testing practice, this role helps ensure that quality is not only a delivery outcome but also a strategic enabler of business value
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing strategies, methodologies, and frameworks in alignment with organizational goals.
- Support the alignment of testing activities with business outcomes, risk considerations, and compliance requirements.
- Assist the Test Manager in monitoring adherence to quality standards across projects.
- Contribute to defining and tracking quality metrics, providing input for reporting and insights.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure testing capabilities evolve in line with organizational strategy and emerging business demands.
- Ensure effective utilization, allocation, and capacity planning of testers across projects.
- Drive the career growth, performance management, and upskilling of testing professionals.
- Contribute to the interviewing, selection, and staffing of testing talent to build a strong, scalable team.
- Oversee the onboarding and integration of new hires into the testing practice.
- Contribute to Building a sustainable talent pipeline, balancing business needs with resource availability.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Support the standardization of processes, tools, and practices across delivery teams.
- Recommend and support in implementing innovative approaches (e.g., automation, DevOps, AI in testing) that align with business priorities.
- Actively participate in the Testing Community of Practice to promote knowledge sharing and consistency.
