Job Description:
We’re looking for a Textile & Embroidery Designer to join our Team. This role is ideal for someone deeply passionate about fabrics, surface techniques, and Indian craftsmanship. You will work closely with the founder and design team to conceptualize and develop textile-led collections that embody Akashi’s philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop seasonal collections from concept to final samples in line with aesthetic.
• Research, source, and curate fabrics, embroideries, and surface embellishments for each collection.
• Design and develop embroidery layouts, textures, and surface explorations in collaboration with artisans.
• Create mood boards, design sketches, and technical drawings for new developments.
• Work closely with pattern makers, sampling units, and embroidery teams to ensure precision, quality, and finish.
• Experiment with silhouettes, materials, and detailing to introduce innovative yet refined design ideas.
• Stay updated with textile and embroidery trends, both traditional and contemporary.
• Maintain and organize fabric libraries, embroidery samples, and design archives.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design or Textile Design.
• 0–1 years of experience in a designer label or textile studio (exceptional fresh graduates may also apply).
• Strong understanding of textiles, fabric behavior, embroidery techniques, and garment construction.
• A keen eye for detail, proportion, and surface aesthetics.
• Excellent communication and co-ordination skills for working with artisans and production teams.
• Passion for Indian craft traditions, textiles, and sustainable design.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹31,523.25 per month
