Textile Weaving Team Member/Upholstery Style

Duties

  • Operate weaving machinery to produce woven textiles and upholstery fabrics according to specified standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to ensure fabric consistency, color accuracy, and defect-free materials.
  • Handle raw materials, fabrics, and finished products with care, utilizing proper materials handling techniques such as forklift and pallet jack operation.
  • Assist with sewing tasks, including machine setup, threading, and troubleshooting to maintain smooth workflow.
  • Perform routine mechanical maintenance on weaving equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Support packaging and shipping processes by preparing finished textiles for delivery, including folding, wrapping, and labeling.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying waste reduction opportunities and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of quality inspection procedures for textiles and upholstery fabrics.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Experience with manufacturing environments, particularly in textile or fabric production.
  • Familiarity with machining processes such as weaving and warping or related fabrication methods.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement and waste reduction.
  • Warehouse experience is preferred to support materials handling and inventory management efforts.
