JOB DESCRIPTION – TGT Computer Science

Position Title: TGT – Computer Science
Department: Academics
Reports To: HOD Computer Science / Academic Coordinator / Principal

Role Summary

The TGT – Computer Science will be responsible for teaching Computer Science/ICT curriculum to middle and senior school students as per CBSE guidelines, ensuring strong conceptual clarity, practical exposure, and skill development in technology usage.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Classroom Management

• Teach Computer Science / ICT for Grades 6–10 as per CBSE curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, activity sheets, and assessment papers.
• Deliver practical and theory lessons based on prescribed syllabus.
• Maintain student engagement using interactive digital tools.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Conduct class tests, unit tests, assignments, practical assessments, and lab work.
• Ensure timely evaluation and maintain student academic records.
• Identify students requiring additional support and provide remedial sessions.

Lab & Technology Management

• Guide students during lab sessions with hands-on exercises.
• Ensure safe and effective usage of systems and learning software.
• Coordinate with IT team for lab maintenance and system functioning.

Student Learning & Skill Building

• Support students in CBSE project work and exhibitions.
• Encourage participation in IT clubs, coding clubs, tech competitions, etc.
• Promote safe digital practices and cyber etiquette.

Professional Collaboration

• Attend department meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
• Collaborate with peers for interdisciplinary projects.
• Report academic progress to coordinators.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science / IT / BCA / MCA.
• B.Ed. preferred (mandatory as per CBSE norms for teaching roles).
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience preferred.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of programming languages like Python, HTML, SQL, Scratch, etc.
• Classroom management and instructional delivery skills.
• Effective communication and student-handling abilities.
• Proficiency in computer applications and educational technology.

General Work Expectations

• Complete syllabus on time and maintain academic quality.
• Prepare reports, progress entries, and grade documentation.
• Participate actively in school events, competitions, and exhibitions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
