Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled TGT English Teacher to teach Grades 6 to 8 under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in English language and literature, and the ability to build advanced reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills in middle school learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Grades 6–8 in alignment with the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach prose, poetry, supplementary readers, grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills.
- Strengthen students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing competencies.
- Guide students in creative writing, formal writing (letters, notices, paragraphs, essays), and comprehension skills.
- Encourage reading habits, public speaking, debates, storytelling, and literary activities.
- Conduct regular assessments, assignments, projects, and periodic tests.
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized academic support where required.
- Maintain lesson plans, student records, and assessment documentation.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and learning needs.
- Participate actively in school assemblies, literary events, competitions, and co-curricular activities.
Qualifications and SkillsEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree with English as a major subject and B.Ed (mandatory).
Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of teaching experience in middle school classes at a CBSE or equivalent school.
Skills
- Strong command over spoken and written English.
- Sound understanding of middle school English pedagogy and CBSE guidelines.
- Ability to engage adolescents through interactive and activity-based teaching methods.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in smart classroom tools and digital teaching platforms.
Accommodation & Facilities
- Free meals provided on campus for relocated staff.
- Accommodation to be arranged independently outside the campus; an accommodation allowance is included in the salary.
- School support available for identifying nearby housing; shared accommodation is permitted.
- Transportation provided from a common pickup point to the campus during school hours.
