Job Summary:

The TGT English teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in English language and literature to students in grades 6-10.The teacher will foster a love for reading and writing while developing students’ comprehension, communication, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Curriculum Implementation:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English following the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
• Develop lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that align with learning objectives.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, composition, and literary analysis effectively.
• Encourage creative writing and critical thinking through interactive activities.
• Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.

Student Development & Assessment:

• Assess students’ progress through tests, quizzes, assignments, and projects.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and support their academic growth.
• Identify and support students with different learning abilities and needs.
• Conduct remedial and enrichment sessions as required.

Classroom Management & Discipline:

• Maintain a positive, respectful, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Encourage student participation and foster an inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules and school policies.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Coordinate with colleagues, subject heads, and school administration for academic planning.
• Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and training programs.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students’ progress and concerns.
• Organize and participate in school activities, literary events, and competitions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in English / Literature + B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education)
• Experience: 2-5 years of teaching experience preferred
• Strong command over the English language (spoken & written).
• Familiarity with CBSE curriculum.
• Proficiency in lesson planning and assessment strategies.
• Ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in using digital teaching tools and smart classrooms.
• Participation in literary clubs, debates, or student development programs.
• Additional certifications in teaching methodologies or English language training.

Salary: As per school norms and experience.
