Job Title: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Sanskrit

Job Description:

As a Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in Sanskrit at a CBSE Board School, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to Middle and Secondary classes (Classes 6–10). You will ensure adherence to the CBSE Sanskrit Curriculum, fostering strong foundational knowledge of grammar (व्याकरण), literature (साहित्य), translation skills, and spoken Sanskrit, in alignment with the NCERT framework while preparing students effectively for Board examinations (Class 10).

1. Key Responsibilities

Academic Delivery:
Teach Sanskrit to Classes 6–10, covering core components such as:

  • Grammar (Sandhi, Samasa, Karak, Vibhakti, Dhatu Roop, Shabd Roop)
  • Comprehension (अपठित गद्यांश)
  • Translation (अनुवाद) – Sanskrit to Hindi/English and vice versa
  • Classical prose and poetry from prescribed NCERT textbooks
  • Basic spoken Sanskrit and conversational skills

Board Examination Preparation:
Prepare students of Class 10 for CBSE Board Examinations through structured lesson planning, grammar drills, writing practice, sample papers, and periodic assessments aligned with CBSE marking schemes.

Assessment & Worksheets:
Design worksheets, revision modules, grammar exercises, unit tests, and periodic assessments to strengthen language accuracy and writing skills.

Co-curricular & Cultural Promotion:
Promote Sanskrit through activities such as shloka recitation, Sanskrit week celebrations, debates, quizzes, and assemblies to encourage cultural appreciation and linguistic interest.

ICT Integration:
Use digital tools such as Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, audio-visual aids, and online Sanskrit learning resources to enhance pronunciation, comprehension, and engagement.

2. Eligibility Criteria

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as a core subject and a Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Sanskrit with a minimum of 50–60% aggregate marks from a recognized university (as per CBSE norms).

Professional Degree:
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory.

Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience at Middle/Secondary level (Classes 6–10), preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school.

Language Proficiency:
Strong command over Sanskrit grammar and literature with fluency in Hindi and/or English for effective explanation and classroom communication.

3. Essential Skills

Subject Expertise:
Deep understanding of Sanskrit grammar, classical texts, and translation methodologies.

Pedagogical Skills:
Ability to make the language engaging, interactive, and relatable for students through activity-based and experiential learning methods.

Pronunciation & Recitation Skills:
Clear diction and correct pronunciation of shlokas and classical verses.

Assessment & Remedial Support:
Capability to identify learning gaps in grammar and writing and provide structured remedial guidance.

Classroom Management:
Ability to maintain a disciplined yet encouraging learning environment for adolescents (ages 11–16).

4. Desirable Qualifications

CTET/TET:
Valid CTET Paper-II or State TET qualification is an added advantage.

Digital Proficiency:
Familiarity with LMS platforms (Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams) and digital content creation tools for language teaching will be preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
