TGT Tamil Teacher

Position Overview

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Nagapattinam invites applications from qualified and passionate educators for the post of TGT – Tamil. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject expertise in Tamil language and literature, effective classroom management skills, and a commitment to holistic and value-based education in alignment with Chinmaya Vidyalaya’s ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Tamil for middle/secondary classes (Classes IV–IX) as per the CBSE curriculum
• Develop students’ proficiency in reading, writing, grammar, literature, and communication skills in Tamil
• Cultivate appreciation for Tamil language, culture, and literary heritage
• Plan and deliver engaging, structured, and interactive Tamil lessons
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards
• Conduct regular formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback
• Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support or enrichment activities as required
• Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and assessment documentation
• Integrate ICT tools, smart boards, audio-visual aids, and digital resources effectively in teaching
• Encourage creative writing, recitation, storytelling, and literary activities
• Foster discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and ethical values in students
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding academic progress and student development
• Participate actively in school events, cultural programs, examinations, training programs, and professional development workshops
• Collaborate with colleagues for academic planning, interdisciplinary activities, and co-curricular initiatives
• Uphold school discipline, child-safety norms, and professional ethics

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Tamil.
• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at the middle/secondary level (CBSE preferred)
• Strong command over Tamil and English with excellent subject knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
