TGT/PGT Social Science Teacher

Role Definition:

The Social Science Teacher is responsible for teaching History, Geography, Civics, and Economics to develop students’ awareness of society, governance, culture, and global perspectives. The role focuses on effective curriculum delivery, learner-centered pedagogy, continuous assessment, and fostering critical thinking, analytical skills, and informed citizenship in alignment with CBSE standards and the school’s academic vision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA / B.Sc / B.E.) with Social Science subjects.
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) – Mandatory.
  • Eligibility as per CBSE norms for TGT/PGT Teachers.
  • Proficiency in using teaching aids and basic computer skills for lesson planning, assessments, and academic reporting.

Tasks & Activities:

  • Plan and deliver Social Science lessons as per CBSE curriculum.
  • Teach concepts from History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics.
  • Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, projects, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
  • Encourage discussion, debate, map work, case studies, and project-based learning.
  • Develop students analytical, research, and presentation skills.
  • Conduct regular assessments, evaluate answer scripts, and maintain academic records.
  • Prepare students for internal assessments, examinations, and board-aligned evaluations.
  • Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support and enrichment activities.
  • Integrate current affairs and real-world examples into lessons.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and a respectful learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure interdisciplinary learning and academic consistency.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and academic concerns.
  • Participate in academic planning, meetings,training,events and professional development programs.
  • Uphold school policies, CBSE norms, and ethical teaching standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

  • Chitradurga, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • CBSE Teaching: 2 years (Preferred)
