Therapist (ACT Program)

The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Therapist provides services designed to help individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses achieve and maintain stable function in the community. The ACT Therapist is part of an integrated, self-contained clinical team, assuming responsibility for directly providing needed treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to consumers. The ACT Therapist’s responsibilities are broad in scope but specifically tailored to each ACT consumer’s symptom picture and treatment needs. Specific tasks serve the overall mission of the ACT program which is to radically decrease episodes of hospitalization and facilitate lengthier periods of stable function in the community.
