Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist with licensure as an Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and clinical counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will support individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, trauma, and behavioral health issues. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement specialized interventions for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, addiction issues, or geriatrics care.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure client safety and stability during urgent situations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, social workers, medical professionals, and educational staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for data collection, progress tracking, and research purposes to support clinical research initiatives.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, crisis intervention, and motivational interviewing.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children and families through child & family counseling and special education strategies.
- Strong background in working with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, Alzheimer's disease, or other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Familiarity with medical records management using EMR systems; understanding of CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding for diagnostic evaluation and billing processes.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy, and addiction counseling.
- Experience in hospital or home & community care settings; adept at patient assessment and case management across diverse environments.
- Competence in social work principles combined with skills in mental health counseling for varied populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
- Ability to handle crisis situations effectively while demonstrating excellent communication skills; experience in trauma-informed care is preferred.
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance standards along with medical terminology relevant to mental health treatment. Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
