Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Therapy Aide/Transportation professional to support our rehabilitation and clinical teams. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care by assisting with therapy sessions and providing reliable transportation for patients across inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong patient service skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and experience working within hospital or clinical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed therapists in implementing treatment plans and supporting patient activities during therapy sessions.
  • Provide safe and timely transportation for patients to and from therapy appointments, hospital stays, or other medical facilities.
  • Support patient care by monitoring patient comfort, safety, and adherence to prescribed therapies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy equipment and transportation vehicles in compliance with safety standards.
  • Document patient interactions accurately and report any concerns or observations to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate patient schedules and ensure smooth transitions between care settings.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and demonstrate compassionate communication to foster a positive environment.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in patient service, hospital settings, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to rehabilitation environments.
  • Experience working with diverse populations such as geriatrics, orthopedics, or individuals in sub-acute or acute care settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide empathetic support to patients during therapy and transportation activities.
  • Ability to operate transportation vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with inpatient, outpatient, hospital medicine, or post-acute care environments is preferred.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
