Therapy Area Specialist / Senior Therapy Area Specialist - Oncology
Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)
Reporting to: National Senior Sales Manager - Oncology
Job Purpose
The Therapy Area Specialist (TAS) / Senior Therapy Area Specialist (Sr. TAS) - Oncology is a field based commercial role responsible for driving sustainable business growth through effective promotion of the Oncology portfolio. The role focuses on building trusted partnerships with Oncology healthcare professionals, delivering strong customer engagement, and executing brand strategies in alignment with company values, compliance standards, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement & Promotion
- Build and maintain strong, compliant relationships with Oncologists, Hematologists, Pharmacists, and key Oncology stakeholders.
- Deliver high quality, value based scientific and promotional interactions aligned with brand strategy.
- Tailor engagement based on customer insights to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Organize and support scientific meetings, educational programs, and congress activities.
Territory & Account Management
- Own territory planning and execution to achieve and exceed sales and market share objectives.
- Analyze territory performance, market dynamics, and customer segmentation to optimize impact.
- Identify and prioritize key accounts, ensuring disciplined follow up and execution.
Business Execution & Data Driven Performance
- Effectively use CRM and business intelligence tools to monitor performance and guide actions.
- Track competitor activity and market trends, providing insights to Sales and Brand teams.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting in line with internal standards.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Medical, Market Access, and Sales Leadership to ensure cohesive execution.
- Support Oncology launches, new indications, and strategic initiatives.
- Act as a brand ambassador, embodying the company's values and ethical standards.
Compliance & Governance
- Conduct all activities in full compliance with local regulations, company SOPs, and Code of Conduct.
- Ensure accurate, balanced, and approved use of promotional materials.
Qualifications & Experience Education
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field (mandatory).
Experience
- Minimum 2 - 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with strong Oncology background highly preferred.
- Proven track record of consistent high performance and handling complex portfolios.
