Therapy Technician

Summary

As a Therapy Technician, you will be an integral part of the healthcare team, providing hands-on patient care and support in clinic setting. Utilizing your core skills in patient care and physiology knowledge, you will assist in delivering high-quality therapy services. Your premium skills in health science and physical therapy will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the rehabilitation process. You will play a vital role in promoting patient well-being and recovery, primarily treating and performing physiotherapy on patients. A Bachelor's degree and bilingual proficiency will further equip you to excel in this rewarding role.

Therapy Technicians follow prescribed treatment plan as indicated, may include massage, electrical stimulation, ultrasound and/or traction modalities. This position requires in-house position specific training.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regular, physical attendance on a predictable basis is essential to the performance of this job.
  • Acts professionally with patients, co-workers and anytime representing the company.
  • Asks specific questions, as directed, to the area of injury and documents responses in patients chart.
  • Provides treatment to patients as prescribed.
  • Maintain and promote a positive attitude toward patients and their treatment programs.
  • Report to providers, verbally or in writing, on patients' progress, attitudes and behavior.
  • Greets, checks patients in and out and schedules as needed.
  • Responsible for daily laundry, keeps treatment rooms clean, tidy, disinfected and stocked for next patient.

Must have a pleasant personality, enjoy treating patients and be eager to learn. Must be dependable and professional. Training is provided for qualified candidates.

Bilingual is a plus. Prior experience in physical therapy setting or with physiotherapy is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or similar field also preferred.

Full-time position Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00am until 5:00pm and Tuesday and Thursday 9:00am until 6:00pm. Competitive benefits package, including health, dental, vision and 401k.

Salary depends upon experience and education.
